SOCIAL DARWINISM

By the 1870s “social Darwinism” was used to describe a range of concepts primarily on the “survival of the fittest”.  Despite the fact that social Darwinism bears Charles Darwin's name, it is more associated with others such as Herbert Spencer, Thomas Malthus, and Francis Galton, the founder of eugenics.
