Author Arnold Hiura:“Then and Now” Evolution of Food

Beneath the Waves listeners have requested additional programs on food, especially from Hawaii.  In response food historian and writer, Arnold Hiura, live from Papaiko, Big Island, Hawaii, has agreed to be my special guest.  Hiura has written two popular books entitled “Kau Kau: Cuisine and Culture in the Hawaiian Islands” and “From Kau Kau to Cuisine: An Island Cookbook Then & Now” and many other publications on the subject.

Jimmy Hoffa was an American labor union leader and author who served as the President of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT) union from 1958 until 1971. He vanished in late July 1975 at age 62.
