The Arts and Crafts Movement, an international desire for traditional decorative craftsmanship using simple forms, emerged between 1880 and the 1920s.  Fueled by anti-industrial and pre-capitalist sentiments, the Movement advocated economic and social reform until it was displaced by Modernism in the 1930s.^.
