Plans for a New Silk Road
for the 21st Century are being promoted by China as an economic belt along the
route of the Silk Road traveled more than 2,000 years ago. The proposal,
supported by the international think tank, the Schiller Institute, is intended
to boost trade and cooperation across the two continents.
